U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry is going for the third time in recent times to hold a meeting with the foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov. Regular talks will be held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Kerry confirmed to the correspondent.
UN, 29 Sep. U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry confirmed that he intends once again, the third in the last few days, to meet with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
“Yes, let’s meet,” Kerry said, answering a question of the correspondent of the Agency, whether he will meet with Lavrov once again.
The Secretary of state did not specify when exactly will be held such a meeting. In the Russian delegation have so far refrained from commenting on this issue.
Lavrov and Kerry already twice held in new York talks, which discussed common efforts on counter-terrorism in Syria and Iraq, as well as the situation in Ukraine.
Last day before a second meeting with Kerry, Lavrov called “wonderful”.
