Medvedev approved the Treaty of the Russian Federation and of Argentina in criminal cases


Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree submitting to the President of the Russian Federation for introducing for subsequent ratification by the State Duma the agreement between Russia and Argentina on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.

MOSCOW, 6 Oct. The Prime Minister of the RF Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree submitting to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin agreement between Russia and Argentina on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, said in the text of the document.

“Approve and submit to the President of the Russian Federation for introducing for subsequent ratification by the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation the Treaty between the Russian Federation on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, signed at Buenos Aires July 12, 2014”, — stated in the message.

According to the Treaty, legal assistance in criminal matters may be provided if the conduct is punishable as a criminal offence by laws of both countries.

The bill was reviewed and approved August 24, 2015 meeting of the Commission of the RF government on legislative activities.
