The head of Kazakhstan has proposed to create a global currency


According to Nursultan Nazarbayev, the world’s reserve currency at this stage do not meet the criteria of legitimacy, democracy and efficiency.

ASTANA, 29 Sep. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed to unite the efforts of member countries of the UN on the development of supranational world currency, the press service of the Kazakh leader.

The head of Kazakhstan said from the rostrum of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly that the fight against the global crisis it is necessary to start to restore order in the emission and circulation of the world reserve currencies, “now do not meet the criteria of legality, democracy, competitiveness, efficiency, and international control”.

“In the twenty-first century, the world need financial tools of a new quality. It is necessary to join efforts of the countries-members of the United Nations on the development of supranational world currency that meets the goals and objectives of global sustainable development and prosperity”, — said Nazarbayev.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan has previously ruled out the possibility of introducing a single currency in the Eurasian economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan).
