“Golden autumn”, Medvedev estimated the products of Russian farmers

MOSCOW, October 8. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev during a visit to agricultural exhibition “Golden autumn” appreciated the import substitution strategy, the development of new industries and the prospects of entering the Russian and international market of the local farmers.

The head of the government very carefully examined exposition of the local farmers. One of the first stands, which he visited, was submitted to the Rostov region. As told by Medvedev, the strategy of import substitution, implemented by the region, includes 24 major project with a total investment of 120 billion rubles.

Also the band has demonstrated a unique project of an industrial complex in growing ducks. “Here you see and the quality is guaranteed decent, because duck is such a curious product,” said Medvedev, citing as an example the experience of their cultivation in China.

Representatives of the Kaluga region, told the Prime Minister about how implemented the target program on creation of robotic dairy farms, presented the achievements of the dairy industry. Kaluga agrarians also introduced the complex for growing vegetables and modern gardening technology, which, according to Medvedev, have great prospects in world markets.

“There is a huge market, said the Prime Minister. – The Arab countries – there is no water – they refused to grow wheat, because it is “Golden”, this wheat, it is so expensive that it is easier to buy it”.

Another promising project, which was praised by the head of the government, is being implemented in the Moscow region. The Governor of Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov has demonstrated the plan for the development of large mushroom complex.

“Anti-sanctions” was the title of the exposition of Stavropol region, which was also attended by Medvedev. Local farmers told him about how they make Parmesan cheese and lactose-free milk, and also set ambitious tasks of receiving your own wine and are developing to improve the quality of the meat. Stavropoltsy have also demonstrated their achievements on the cultivation of stevia to further develop the sweetener.

Their successes shared and workers in the agricultural sector of the Krasnodar region, the main achievements of which are the wine and cheese supplied to other regions of Russia. The Prime Minister congratulated the farmers of the Kuban with a large harvest that they have collected this year.

In addition, during the visit expositions of the Federal Agency for fisheries head of government noted that this sphere in Russia there are enough problems, and the investment is not enough and there is a declining trend. Medvedev agreed that the industry needs to continue the modernization of the courts, to develop aquaculture and create new projects in Russia.

The Prime Minister had an hour long acquainted with the achievements of Russian farmers, he also visited the agriculture exhibition of Nizhny Novgorod, Tambov and Volgograd oblasts, the Republic of Ingushetia, Tatarstan, Mordovia and the Omsk region.
