MOSCOW, 8 Oct. The volume of gas in underground storages (UGS) of Ukraine on 8 October amounted to 15,797 billion cubic meters, increased during the day by 0.05%, according to data on the website of the Association of European operators of the underground gas storages (GSE).
According to GSE, the filling level of stores increased to 51,04% 51,02% as of 7 October, when in Ukrainian underground storage facilities was 15,789 billion cubic meters of gas.
Russia, Ukraine and the EC on September 25, initialled a tripartite Protocol on winter package of Russian gas supplies to Ukraine. According to the agreements reached in Brussels, Ukraine is obliged to purchase from Russia to 2 billion cubic meters of gas.
Funding for these supplies will be provided at the expense of credit of 500 million dollars raised by Ukraine with the assistance of the EC. Russia will give Ukraine a discount to the contract price of gas in the amount of about $ 20 per thousand cubic meters.
