BERLIN, 8 Oct. The head of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller has not excluded that the gas pipeline “Nord stream-2” can be supplied to the market of South-Eastern Europe via Baumgarten gas hub.
“Yes, they can be provided also from Baumgarten,” the Miller said to journalists, answering a question of possible deliveries of gas “Northern stream-2” in the countries of South-Eastern Europe.
Speaking of target markets “Nord stream-2”, Miller recalled: “First of all, they are our largest markets such as Germany, France, Italy, and gas hub, Baumgarten”.
Previously the information Department of “Gazprom”, said Miller in Berlin held a meeting with Vice Chancellor and Minister of economy and energy of Germany Sigmar Gabriel. As Miller said to journalists that the meeting discussed the project “Northern stream-2”.
The shareholders ‘ agreement the joint project company New European Pipeline AG, which will deal with the construction of the gas pipeline “Nord stream-2”, was signed on 4 September. The shareholders will enter “Gazprom” (with a share of 51%), E. On (10%), Shell (10%), OMV (10%), BASF/Wintershall (10%) and Engie (9%).
The project involves the construction of two pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year from the coast of the Russian Federation through the Baltic sea to the German coast.
