The head EMERCOM of Russia Vladimir Puchkov said that the agreement will allow the Commonwealth to implement modern approaches, integrating the latest developments in the field of crisis management and fire-rescue cases.
MOSCOW, 8 Oct. The government on Thursday approved the draft agreement of CIS countries on cooperation in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations, said the head EMERCOM of Russia Vladimir Puchkov.
As previously reported, the agreement provides a wide range of cooperation of CIS States in the sphere of prevention of catastrophes, and assistance in eliminating their consequences.
Puchkov said the agreement will allow the new format to interact with the CIS countries, implementing modern approaches, integrating the latest developments in the field of crisis management, in the field of fire and rescue Affairs.
“In addition, it will allow to form a unified grouping of forces, simplifying all the procedures of state border crossing and to organize a close daily interaction in the emergence of cross-border emergency situations”, — said Puchkov.
At present the CIS countries are guided by the signed in 1993 by the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of prevention and liquidation of consequences of emergency situations. However, it does not meet modern realities and does not take into account what happened after the signing of relevant changes in legislation of CIS countries, reported the press service of the Cabinet.
