MOSCOW, October 8. The defense Ministry commented on today’s statement by the head of the Pentagon Ashton Carter to NATO, where he predicted Russia’s military casualties in Syria.
“In their assessments of the us military in various operations done around the world, representatives of the Ministry of defense of Russia never fell to public expectations of American soldiers died. Not to mention ordinary Americans,” – said the official representative of the Russian defense Ministry, major-General Igor Konashenkov.
“Today’s statement by the head of the Pentagon Ashton Carter, unfortunately, clearly characterizes the current level of political culture of certain representatives of the U.S. government. Or rather – the degree of cynicism towards the rest of the world,” he said.
“I am confident that no American General would never have allowed”, – said Konashenkov.
Speaking at a press conference at NATO, Pentagon chief Carter stated that “Russia’s actions in Syria “could have implications for Russia”, he would not be surprised if terrorist acts against Russia, and “after a few days the Russian military will begin to lose in Syria.”
