S&P confirmed the rating of Belarus at “B-/B”


Monetary policy of the Belarusian authorities has an impact on the ratings of the country, the message of International rating Agency Standard & Poor’s.

MOSCOW, 9 Oct. International rating Agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) affirmed its long-term and short-term sovereign ratings of Belarus at “B-/B” with a stable Outlook, the message of the Agency.

“The ratings on Belarus is influenced by… the weak external position and monetary policy”, — follows from the release of the Agency.

As noted by S&P, the ratings also positively influenced by a relatively low debt burden of the public sector and the probability of financial support from Russia.
