Kazakhstan ratified the rules of circulation of medicines in the EEU


The document establishes uniform principles and rules of circulation of medicines in the framework of the Union for the formation of common market of medicines.

ASTANA, 12 Oct. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the law on ratification of the agreement on the unified rules of circulation of medicines within the Eurasian economic Union (EEU), reported on Monday the press service of the head of state.

The agreement was signed in Moscow on 23 December 2014. The document establishes uniform principles and rules of circulation of medicines in the framework of the Union for the formation of common market of medicines. Member States of the EEU should harmonize their legislation in the sphere of circulation of medicines, to ensure uniform requirements for their safety.

Sales of pharmaceuticals within the EEU is allowed if they are registered in accordance with the established procedure, and information about them are listed in the single register of the Union. The production of medicines is carried out on the basis of a permit for this activity issued in accordance with the laws of the States. The Eurasian economic Commission will maintain an information database registered and also do not meet the requirements of quality, counterfeit and prohibited means.

AAAS is an international integration economic Union created on the basis of the Customs Union and the common economic space and functioning from January 1 of the current year. Now members of the EEU are Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
