MOSCOW, October 12. Had a telephone conversation of Russian President Vladimir Putin with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. About it reports a press-service of the Kremlin.
The Russian head of state congratulated his counterpart on a convincing victory in the presidential elections of the Republic of Belarus. It is noted that “the results of the vote showed broad support for Lukashenko Belarusian society”.
The Russian President stressed the “readiness to continue intensive dialogue and collaboration on developing the whole complex of bilateral relations and cooperation within the integration structures in Eurasia”.
The two leaders also exchanged views on topical international issues, in particular, on the situation in Syria.
Earlier, on behalf of Putin was sent a congratulatory telegram to Lukashenko.
