The head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said he intends to discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the question of the possible establishment of a Russian airbase in the Republic.
MOSCOW, 12 Oct. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will meet this week in Kazakhstan, said the press-Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
“They’ll see Lukashenka in the end of the week in Kazakhstan”, — said Sands, answering the question, are there any plans in the near future the meeting of Putin and Lukashenka and possible discussion on Russian air base in Belarus.
Before Lukashenko said that he intends to discuss with Putin the issue of the possible establishment of a Russian airbase in the Republic. Lukashenko also expressed the interest of Belarus to Russia “reinforced” system of defence of the Union state border missile weapons.
Earlier the Belarusian President said that not discussed with Russia the question about the base. Peskov, in turn, said he was not yet ready to comment on reports of Russian military base in Belarus. According to Peskov, the Kremlin intend to check what was going.
