MOSCOW, 12 Oct. In the case of bankruptcy “Transaero” the accounts chamber of the Russian Federation should check the airline using public funds since many loans had a government guarantee, said a member of the economic Committee of the Federation Council Nikolay Vlasenko.
“Now, check the company not to be, and there are so many inspectors, no need to aggravate the situation”,- said the MP, adding that if the shareholder of airline “Aeroflot”, he will be able to conduct its review.
“If “Transaero” will be declared bankrupt, then the chamber should conduct an audit of the use by company of public funds. I think they will conduct this procedure automatically,” said Vlasenko.
If this is not done, the meeting with the Chairman of the control body in the discussion of the annual report, the senators can ask such a question, the MP said.
The largest Russian privately owned airline Transaero has been unable to service debts, which form together with the leasing obligations of about 250 billion rubles. Approved in September the government plan for the transfer of 75% of actions “Transaero” state “Aeroflot” for the subsequent rehabilitation took off. The creditors are considering the option of bankruptcy.
