“Gazprom” for the first decade of October increased its exports of gas to Europe by 35.8%


The rate of increase of volume of gas for export to Europe at the beginning of the fourth quarter have increased significantly, said the Chairman of the Board of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller. He noted that the main growth markets show the target of the project “Northern stream-2”.

MOSCOW, 13 Oct. Export “Gazprom” in the first decade of October increased compared with the previous year by 35.8%, reported to journalists by the Chairman of the Board “Gazprom” Alexey Miller.

“The rate of increase of volume of gas for export to Europe at the beginning of the fourth quarter increased significantly. During the first decade of October, compared with last year, exports rose by 35.8%, which is significantly better than the dynamics of the third quarter. The growth shown by our target markets of the project “Northern stream-2”, — Miller said, without naming the physical volume of exports.

Miller previously reported that the volume of exports of “Gazprom” in the far abroad in the third quarter increased 23% to 41.4 billion cubic meters, while in September, according to preliminary data, the company increased such exports by 24% to 13.3 billion cubic meters of gas.

Deputy Chairman of “Gazprom” Alexander Medvedev in early October, foresaw the export of gas to foreign countries in 2015 at the level 159-160 billion cubic meters.

According to Gazprom, the total export of gas in 2014 from Russia amounted to 191,5 billion cubic meters, of which was supplied to Europe 146,6 billion, in countries of the former USSR — 44,857 billion cubic meters.
