MOSCOW, October 13. The head of the government of Libya in Tripoli assured that all the sailors from the Russian tanker will soon be released. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov wrote on one of his pages in social networks.
“The entire crew of the Russian tanker “Mechanic Chebotarev” will be released in the next few days. About me this late at night assured arrived at my invitation to Ivan Libyan Prime Minister Khalifa al-Awwal (Khalifa al – Gual),” – wrote Kadyrov.
“He promised that after settling some technical issues, the crew will return to Russia. This is surely a sign of good will, symbolizing the desire by the Libyan leadership to establish and develop relations with Russia”, – said the head of Chechnya.
Earlier it was reported that Libya has freed two members of the crew of the tanker sailor Paul Magacin and the ship’s chef Natalia klyuchnikova.
On 17 September, the tanker “Mechanic Chebotarev” and 11 crew members were detained in the port of Tripoli by Libyan authorities on charges of oil smuggling from the city of Zwara (120 km West of Tripoli, 60 km from the border with Tunisia). In Libya the ship arrived from Rostov-on-don.
