Miller: gas exports to Europe in the first decade of October increased by 35.8%


MOSCOW, October 13. Gas exports to Europe in the first decade of October increased by 35.8%.

About it told journalists the head of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller.

“The rate of increase of volume of gas for export to Europe at the beginning of the fourth quarter increased significantly. For the first ten days of October compared to last year exports grew by 35.8 per cent,” he said.

The target markets for the “Nord stream-2” are Germany, France, Italy, and gas hub, Baumgarten, said earlier the head of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller after the meeting with the Minister of economy and energy of Germany Sigmar Gabriel.

Miller then added that the potential supply of gas via a new route and in countries of South-Eastern Europe.

Target markets “Nord stream-2”

According to Miller, most of the increase in Russian gas import show the target markets of the project “Northern stream-2” .

“The rate of increase of volume of gas for export to Europe at the beginning of the fourth quarter increased significantly. During the first decade of October, compared with last year, exports rose by 35.8%, which is significantly better than the dynamics of the third quarter. The growth shown by our target markets of the project “Nord stream 2”, – he said.
