It is necessary to unify the regional legislation, to bring it to Federal, said the Deputy Chairman of the CEC Leonid Ivlev. He noted that the difference in regional and Federal legislation will affect the number of voters.
MOSCOW, 14 Oct. The Central election Commission of the Russian Federation consider it necessary to agree on the questions about early voting and voting by absentee ballots in regional and Federal election campaigns next year.
“The law on elections of deputies of the State Duma provided for absentee ballots. And in the laws on elections of deputies of legislative assemblies in half of the subjects provided for early voting, and half — absentee ballots”, — said the Deputy Chairman of the CEC Leonid Ivlev told reporters.
In his view, the distinction in regional and Federal legislation will affect the number of voters.
“Our recommendation would be to somehow unify the regional legislation, to bring it to Federal. Otherwise it turns out that in the Duma elections can I vote by absentee ballots, and the election, for example, the Tula regional Duma should I vote early. Some people will go twice in the Commission? Either vote early or get an absentee ballot — he once will come, — it must be agreed, to level”, — said the Deputy Chairman of the CEC.
Earlier, the CEC published the information according to which the costs of preparation and holding of elections of deputies of the state Duma in 2016 will be more than 14,7 billion rubles.
