Martirosov: UTair has applied for international routes “Transaero” in the CIS countries


YEKATERINBURG, October 14. UTair aviation has applied to the interdepartmental Commission under the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation for international flights “Transaero” in the CIS countries, said CEO of the carrier Andrey Martirosov.

“Our bid in for international flights “Transaero” very modest, on several routes. This is the CIS”, – said Martirosov.

As previously reported, applications for the commercial rights of “Transaero” in the interdepartmental Commission of the Ministry of transport gave competitors “Aeroflot” S7 airlines and “Ural airlines”. The Red Wings airline is considering filing.

“Aeroflot” has addressed in Rosaviation with the request to secure for them rights on international routes “Transaero”. The General Director of “Aeroflot” Vitaly Savelyev in an interview to “Kommersant” has not excluded the rights to international routes “Transaero”.

The decision on bankruptcy of airline “Transaero”, the accumulated 250 billion debt and are now under the operational management of “Aeroflot” was adopted at the governmental meeting with the participation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on October 1.
