VTSIOM: the majority of Russians expect the dollar to a mark of 69 rubles in three months

MOSCOW, October 14. More than half of Russian respondents expect the dollar to a mark of 69 rubles in three months, follows from results of poll of the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM).

So, on average, under the assumptions of respondents who gave a definite response (53%), after three months the dollar will cost 69 rubles.

Long-term population projections are roughly on the same level. Estimated 39% of respondents, the price of the dollar in a year will be 69 rubles.

57% of Russians prefer to keep savings in rubles

In September the share of Russians who choose the ruble as the main currency to store their savings (57%), coming close to the maximum value recorded in may (58%).

The dollar and the Euro prefer the few – on the average, the 4% and 2% respectively, which is within the statistical margin of error.

“However, it can be noted that the us currency are much more popular among residents of Metropolitan cities (12%) and respondents with high incomes (12%)”, – is specified in the message VTSIOM.

In addition, the survey showed that about 40% of Russians said that does not have any accumulated money. For comparison, in the fourth quarter of 2014, the average figure was 49%. Traditionally in this group, as of September of the current year, are more frequent people with low income (50%), poorly educated (48%), farmers (47%).

The poll was conducted September 25-26, was attended by 1,600 people in 130 populated localities in 46 regions, territories and republics of Russia. The statistical error does not exceed 3.5%.
