MOSCOW, October 15. Timiryazev Moscow court on Thursday postponed hearing of the claim of the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky to the former President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev.
“The court satisfied the petition of representatives of Gorbachev, who stated in court that he personally wants to participate in the meeting and postponed the hearing for 29 October at 14:00 Moscow time”, – said the representative of the court.
During the meeting the representatives of the Gorbachev explained that the politician was unable to attend court because of illness.
Zhirinovsky has addressed in court with the claim to Gorbachev, which requires him to 1 million rubles for insulting the honor and dignity. The reason for litigation was published in 2014 the book Gorbachev called “After the Kremlin” in which he wrote that Zhirinovsky had allegedly put forward extremist slogans and participated in several provocations.
