MOSCOW, October 15. Russian President Vladimir Putin, who yesterday arrived on a state visit to Kazakhstan, will hold talks with Kazakh leader Nursultan Nazarbayev. According to the assistant to the Russian President Yuri Ushakov, the presidents in a narrow part of preliminary negotiations by the delegations, the results of which will be signed a number of documents.
Speaking about the alleged subject of conversation leaders, Ushakov did not exclude that they will discuss the situation in Ukraine given the fact that Kazakhstan last week was visited by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. “On October 8-9, Kazakhstan was visited by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko; I assume that the Russian and Kazakh leaders on the Ukrainian story will also have the opportunity to talk with each other”, – said the representative of the Kremlin.
Also in the spotlight two leaders will be topical issues of regional and international agenda, including Putin and Nazarbayev will share views on the interaction between Moscow and Astana in the framework of the Eurasian economic Union and discussed the situation in Syria.
Following the talks, signed three documents. “The first is the Protocol on amending the Protocol to the agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan on delimitation of the seabed in the Northern part of the Caspian sea; it regulates the issues of joint development of oil-bearing structure “Central” – said Ushakov. Also will be signed the intergovernmental agreement on the procedure of interaction when conducting missile launches from positional area Dombarovsky (Orenburg region). Separating parts of missiles will fall on the territory of Kazakhstan, which Russia has leased the land. Ushakov noted that the two countries will conduct a joint monitoring of the ecological situation. In addition, during the visit an agreement will be signed on cooperation in aviation search and rescue.
The upcoming meeting of the two presidents will be already the 13th in a row in 2015.
According to the press service of the Kremlin, in January-June values of the Russian-Kazakh trade has decreased by 24%, mainly due to a change in exchange rate. However, the physical volume of trade fell 2.3%, while supplies from Russia to Kazakhstan increased by 9.8% /imports from Kazakhstan decreased by 6.2%/. In ruble terms the trading volume for the seven months increased by 23%.
Expanding cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan in high-tech industries, in particular in the nuclear industry. Finalized intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the construction of a nuclear power plant of Russian design in the territory of Kazakhstan. The work on the project of creating the Russian – Kazakhstan nanotechnology Fund, on the establishment in Kazakhstan joint-building facilities, the organization of joint ventures to assemble Ka-226T and construction in Ust-Kamenogorsk plant of a full cycle of car production. Discusses the possibility of creating joint ventures, attracting investment, followed by access to the markets of third countries in the metallurgical, mining, chemical, light, medical and other industries.
The status of Putin’s visit – state. As explained Ushakov, making the visit such a status “is intended to specifically demonstrate the high level of Russian-Kazakh cooperation”.
Putin’s visit to Kazakhstan will continue on 16 October. On this day the Russian leader will take part in Kazakhstan held in the resort village of Burabay of the summits of heads of States of the CIS and the Supreme Eurasian economic Council.
