MOSCOW, 16 Oct. Faction “Fair Russia” in the state Duma of the Russian Federation continues to advocate the deprivation of the Deputy mandate Ilya Ponomaryov, said the first Deputy Chairman of the faction Mikhail Emelyanov.

The state Duma on Friday will consider the request of the Prosecutor General on giving consent to the detention Ponomarev suspected of complicity in the embezzlement of 750 thousand dollars from the Fund “SKOLKOVO”. Emelyanov said that CP will vote for this resolution.

“We believe that parliamentary mandate and it must also be taken away. To do this, we offered various options in the past year we have made a law about the so-called imperative mandate. Unfortunately, the majority of the Duma did not support it,” said Emelyanov journalists.

He also recalled that the socialist-revolutionaries and made amendments to the regulations of the state Duma, “which would allow people like Ponomarev, to deprive of authority.”

“But the majority of the State Duma of reason does not accept our proposal,” he said.

The decision on correspondence arrest of Ponomareva entered into force in August. After the lower house of Parliament received the petition of the Prosecutor General on giving consent to execute the court decision.

Substantive criminal case initiated against the Vice-President of “SKOLKOVO” Alexey abstracts of reports — according to investigators, he illegally handed Ponomarev money from the Fund. Ponomarev over a year ago left Russia and since then the desire to return was not expressed. The MP previously said he does not think it expedient to come to Russia for investigative actions: according to him, he is willing to communicate with investigators by phone, mail, or Internet. All accusations rejects the public representative, who considered the case politically motivated.
