MOSCOW, 16 Oct. The Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia proposes to increase freight rates in 2016 in two stages to 5.5% from January and 4.2 percent since July, said Deputy head of the Department for the regulation of transport Dmitry Rutenberg.
“FAS proposes to increase tariffs for cargo rail transportation in 2016 from 1 January to 5.5% and from 1 July to 4.2%, he said.
Earlier Friday, the head of the Antimonopoly service Igor Artemyev said that the FAS insists on the necessity of indexation of tariffs for cargo railway transportation by 5.5%, up from 10% in 2016.
