The FAS is not going to punish foreign companies for refusing to work in Russia because of sanctions

MOSCOW, October 16. The Federal Antimonopoly service sees no reason to punish foreign companies for refusing to work in Russia because of the sanctions. This was stated by the head of service Igor Artemyev at the conference on antitrust regulation in Moscow.

“We have no such aspirations and desires. If the life force, we do not exclude. But, first, it is difficult to prove a thing, propritory history – the refusal to conclude the agreement,” he said. Secondly, according to him, in order to attract liability, they must occupy a dominant position in the market.

“Thirdly, when there is a political process, the economy should not give such examples. Not in this plane we have to solve these issues. This is the plane of the talks,” he added.

Otherwise everything will be reduced to “economic war in the square,” said Artemyev. “The situation as it is now, it would be a wrong policy of the Antimonopoly body”, – emphasized the head of FAS.
