Kadyrov: Russia is not Cuba, the West must lift sanctions

GROZNY, October 17. The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov believes that anti-Russian sanctions won’t last longer than November 2016. “Sanctions affect not just Russia. The alarms are sounding and the countries of Western Europe, and our partners in the CIS. It seems to me that until November 2016 they will have to cancel all sanctions. We’re not Cuba. Russia has a powerful military and economic power. And much in this world depends on us,” Kadyrov said to journalists.

About the conflict with Evkurova

Also the head of Chechnya has denied rumors that between him and the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurova formed a strained relationship.

Answering questions of journalists in Grozny, Kadyrov declared that in their relations with Evkurova “really had some difficulties, but they were concerned not with the personal characteristics and complex issues that need to be solved.”
