ATHENS, October 17. /Corr. Denis Kabanov/. The Greek Parliament adopted on Saturday a law providing for the introduction of new standards of austerity, as agreed with creditors under the third program of financial aid to Athens. For its adoption voted 154 deputies of the coalition parties.

The new law “About measures on realization of agreement on fiscal goals and structural reforms”, among other things, provides for increased number of taxes, including income from rental property to rent. In addition, the retirement age rises to 67 years, almost completely abolished the possibility of premature retirement. A separate article of the document provides toughening of sanctions for infringement of tax legislation.
