Kozhemyako offered to increase the term of quota to fish


The validity period of the quota should be increased to 15 years, it will provide industry investment attractiveness, the head of the working group of the state Council of the Russian Federation Oleg Kozhemyako. Now the validity of the quotas is 10 years.

MOSCOW, 19 Oct. The head of the working group of the State Council of the Russian Federation Oleg Kozhemyako proposes to increase the period of validity of quotas for fish catch from 10 to 15 years.

Currently rybodobytchikami permission is given by the so-called “historical principle” — a catch specific amount of fish for 10 years, and this rule will be in effect until 2018. The Ministry of agriculture and Rosrybolovstvo now propose to extend this to 25 years.
