Moscow. October 19. Russia and North Korea are negotiating the construction of a pontoon bridge over the Misty river, which will allow you to organize automobile traffic between the two countries.
“Among the main aspects of cooperation embodied in the joint Protocol, in particular, it is about the building of the pontoon crossing of the Tumen river area on the border between the Russian Federation and the DPRK”, – stated in the press release of the Ministry of the Russian Federation following the meeting, Minister for the Far East Alexander Galushka and Minister of foreign economic Affairs of the DPRK Lee Ren Nam.
At present the transport message between Russia and the DPRK is carried out by railway (the bridge on the river Foggy).
The press release notes that in early October, the Russian side has developed its part of the working group on the construction of the pontoon crossing, the Korean side will call their experts in the near future. The first working group meeting could be held in Vladivostok in November.
