The fall in GDP in the September slowed to 3.8%


Moscow. October 19. The fall in GDP in annual terms in September 2015 slowed to 3.8% from 4.6% in August, told reporters Deputy Minister of economic development Alexei Vedev.

In January-September, according to the Ministry, Russia’s GDP also decreased by 3.8%.

In the third quarter of 2015, the fall in GDP in annual terms is estimated by the Ministry at 4.3%.

Vedev on Monday said that GDP growth purified from seasonal component, in September showed an increase of 0.3% compared with August. Thus, he concluded that the bottom of the Russian economy was in summer, and in September began a revival, which is likely to continue in the fourth quarter.

By the end of 2015 the Ministry of economic development expects the economic downturn of 3.9%, and in 2016 – growth of 0.7%.
