Cooperation is developing in areas such as crop production, storage and processing of vegetables, the construction of dairy farms, greenhouses, cooling systems, processing plants.
St. PETERSBURG, 20 Oct. Leningrad region and Hungary will promote cooperation in agriculture, exchanging experience and technologies in plant growing, storage, processing and transportation of vegetables, the construction and reconstruction of dairy farms, the press service of the regional government.
“Vice-Governor of Leningrad region, Chairman of the Committee for economic development of investment activity Dmitry Yalov and the Commissioner of the Minister of external economic relations and foreign Affairs of Hungary on the development of relations with Russia Gyula Budai noted at the meeting that are interested in developing cooperation, in particular in the field of agricultural technology, veterinary medicine, utilities, environmental safety”, — stated in the message.
The prospective participants of the meeting called for the exchange of experience and technologies in plant growing, storage, processing and transportation of vegetables, the construction and reconstruction of dairy farms, greenhouses, cooling systems, processing plants.
“This is the third meeting this year between the leadership of the Leningrad region and the representatives of Hungary. In March, a visit to the government of the Leningrad region the Ambassador of Hungary in the Russian Federation, Janos Points in July — the Consul General of Hungary in St. Petersburg Ferenc Nagy-Rebeca”, — stated in the message.
During the meetings we discussed the possibility of attracting Hungarian modern technologies in agroindustrial complex, housing and communal services, energy, construction, transport.
Cooperation between the Leningrad region and Hungary is based on the signed 7 December 2007 agreement between the government of the Leningrad region and the Ministry of economy and transport of Hungary on economic cooperation. Since January 2012 the implementation of the agreement is vested in the Ministry of national development of Hungary.
Leningrad region supplies to Hungary inorganic chemicals, electrical machinery and equipment, rubber and tires, and buying electric cars and industrial equipment.
