Mizulina was elected Chairman of the Committee of Federation Council on constitutional legislation

MOSCOW, October 20. The Senator from the Omsk Elena Mizulina was elected Vice-Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation and state construction. This decision was taken unanimously at the meeting of the Committee.

Presenting the candidacy of Mizulina, the head of Committee Andrey Klishas noted that she is a “doctor of law Sciences, well-known specialist.” He also added that Mizulina was a very active member of the state Duma and expressed hope that the Council of the Federation it will work actively.

By decision of the Committee Mizulina will also represent the Council of the Federation in the Supreme court and the Ministry of justice of the Russian Federation.

Mizulina has passed in the Federation Council after the election on 13 September. It has delegated its representative to the upper house elected Governor of the Omsk region. Prior to that, Mizulina chaired the state Duma Committee on family, women and children.
