Petropavlovsk over 9 months has reduced gold production by 22.3%


Petropavlovsk Plc in the first nine months of 2015 354,7 have extracted thousands of ounces of precious metal. In the third quarter, production fell to 114.5 thousand ounces.

MOSCOW, 20 Oct. Gold mining Petropavlovsk Plc in the first nine months of 2015 decreased gold production by 22.3% compared with the same period a year earlier — before 354,7 thousand ounces, it is told in the company message.

In the third quarter production dropped by 23.7% — up to 114,5 thousand ounces.

Petropavlovsk Plc is in the top five in terms of volumes of gold production among Russian companies. The main assets are concentrated in the Amur region, where it operates four mining-hydrometallurgical plant: “Pokrovsky mine”, “pioneer”, “Malomyr and Albyn”. In 2014, the company decreased gold production by 16% to 624,5 thousand ounces (19.4 tonnes).
