MOSCOW, October 20. Aviation authorities of Russia are ready to consult on lifting the ban on flights between Russia and Ukraine. This was stated to journalists on the sidelines of an aviation forum “Wings of Russia” Deputy transport Minister Valery Okulov.

“We have sent three proposals – two proposals from the Ministry of transport, one sentence from the Federal air transport Agency – consultations. We provided air transport agreement – is there a standard phrase that in case of conflict situations, all issues are resolved through consultations of the aviation authorities. Here the decision on the part of Ukraine was taken, and consultation not been undertaken. So the first thing we suggest is let’s have consultations,” he said.
According to Okulov, if the Ukrainian side will respond to such a proposal, the Russian aviation authorities are ready to hold consultations at any time and in any place.
“There is some progress, starting to warm up, to suspend air traffic absolutely wrong,” – says the Deputy head of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation.
On Monday, the Federal air transport Agency reported that the Ukrainian airlines has applied for permission for the flights during the winter navigation season 2015/2016, In particular, LLC “Airline “Atlasjet Ukraine” is asking to open the navigation of flights on three routes: Kiev – Moscow, Odessa – Moscow and Kiev – St. Petersburg, “UTair-Ukraine” – Kiev – Moscow and Lviv – Moscow. In turn, the Federal air transport Agency has suggested the state aviation service of Ukraine to immediately hold talks in the Ukrainian side.
Previously, about 20 Russian companies included in the sanction lists of the Ukrainian authorities, which will be effective from October 25. Among them not only the largest Russian carrier “Aeroflot” (flies to Kiev, Odessa, Kharkiv), but also three of his “daughter” the airline “Russia” and “Donavia”, “Orenburg airlines”. In the same list the second largest airline of Russia, Transaero, recently transferred under the operational management of “Aeroflot”. Transaero flies to Kiev and Odessa.
The document also included “Siberia” (S7, the third place on volumes of transportations) and “Ural airlines” (the fifth place). Company UTair – not only fell under the sanctions of Ukraine.
