MOSCOW, October 20. Turkish cheeses that are certified, should appear on the shelves of Russian stores. About it on air of TV channel “Russia 24” said the assistant head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Alexei Alekseenko.
“Yes, of course, have been certified. These products too (like dairy products of Iran – ed.) should appear on our shelves”, he replied to a reporter’s question about the possible emergence of previously certified Turkish cheese.
Alekseenko said that now Rosselhoznadzor closely monitors the disease situation in Turkey, as in its territory there were recorded outbreaks of “foot and mouth disease”.
“We certainly do everything in order to withdraw completely from imports, but it will take quite a long time,” he concluded.
Alexeenko previously reported that dairy products from Iran, which is planned for deliveries in Russia, has successfully passed inspection of Rosselkhoznadzor.
On 19 October, the Rosselkhoznadzor has allowed eight Swiss companies supplying cheeses and prepared meat products in the Russian Federation.
