The risk of possible limitations of electricity supply to the Crimea in peak evening hours fell, declared in a press-service of the company “Ukrenergo”. It noted that currently the energy supply in the Peninsula is carried out according to an agreed daily schedule.
KYIV, 20 Oct. Power supply of Crimea is carried out without restrictions, despite the occurred explosions pillars of power in the Kherson region, informs on Tuesday a press-service of the company “Ukrenergo”.
According to the press service, on the night of Tuesday near the village of Chongar unknown damaged two feet of air line Melitopol-Dzhankoy. According to preliminary information the staff of the interior Ministry and gschs, the cause of the damage allegedly are mine. On Tuesday afternoon energy has temporarily disabled the transmission line for the elimination of explosive items.
“Upon completion of these actions, 15:55 the line is in use. Thus, the risk of possible limitations of electricity supply to the Crimea in the evening peak disappeared. Currently the energy supply in the Peninsula is carried out according to an agreed daily schedule, without any restrictions”, — is spoken in the message.
Crimea is 70% dependent on power supplies from Ukraine. According to the estimates of the Ministry of energy of the Russian Federation, the region needed an additional approximately 880 megawatts of capacity. The end of the year under construction primarily Russia power bridge to Crimea must be commissioned, which will give to the Crimea from the mainland to 400 megawatts of power. The second phase will increase the power flow to 800-840 MW — the construction will finish in summer 2016.
