MOSCOW, 21 Oct. The Eurasian economic Commission (EEC) is discussing the possibility in the medium term the organization of the free trade area with some Latin American countries, said Minister for trade of the EEC Alexey Slepnev.
“We on Friday at the Supreme Council of the EEC considered the main priorities of foreign trade policy for the medium term, and for a number of Latin American countries will also be taken decisions,” he said, speaking at the conference “Russian non-commodity exports”.
In this case decisions will be of different nature, including and the establishment of free trade zones. “As we prepare the information we will publish. Intentions of this kind”, — said the Minister of ECE.
Earlier in October, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that the leaders of the Eurasian economic Union will discuss plans on the establishment of a free trade zone with Israel, experts are discussing the issues on the FTA with India, Egypt, Iran.
In August the Minister of economic development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev said that the desire to create a free trade zone with the Eurasian economic Union (EEU) expressed more than 40 countries and international organizations, including China, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia. In may was signed the agreement on the FTA with Vietnam.
