MOSCOW, October 21. Growth of actions “Transaero” on the Moscow stock exchange increased to 76%. On Wednesday at the opening of trading of the securities of the company jumped by 39.85% to the level of 9,51 ruble per share. At the same time shares of “Aeroflot” fell by 5.8% (as of 11:05 Moscow time) to the level 46,45 ruble per share.
Growth stocks comes amid reports that the General Director of S7 airlines Vladislav Filev on Tuesday night acquired “at least 51% of the shares” “Transaero” Alexander Pleshakov, who is the largest shareholder of the airline.
Filev said that the shareholders “Transaero” has a “plan of settlement of relations with creditors, the airline”, but declined to disclose details. He also noted that new shareholders “by all means try to avoid the bankruptcy of the airline”.
Transaero will continue its activities after the purchase of its shares by a co-owner of S7 airlines, said a source in aviation circles.
As noted by the Deputy head of the Ministry of economic development (MED) Evgeny Elin said that the airline has a real chance of survival, but the airline S7 assumes full responsibility.
