Intel is investing $5.5 billion into modernization of the enterprise in Dalian


Representatives of Intel Corp. said that the modernization of the enterprise in China by the end of 2016 to produce the non-volatile memory based on integrated silicon wafers as large as 300 millimeters.

MOSCOW, 21 Oct. American Corporation Intel Corp. Wednesday announced plans to invest 5.5 billion dollars in its plant for the production of microprocessors in Dalian (Liaoning province), reports the Xinhua news Agency.

The company said that the modernization of the enterprise will allow to the end of 2016 to produce the non-volatile memory based on integrated silicon wafers as large as 300 millimeters. President of Intel China Yang Xu (Yang Xu) said that the plans for modernization are an important step for companies that demonstrate long-term commitment of Intel in China.

He also added that Intel will introduce the latest technology for the production of memory modules that are jointly developed with Micron Technology specifically to streamline the production line in Dalian.

The company Intel in Dalian was opened in 2010. It employs more than 1.1 thousand employees. American Corporation Intel Corp. was founded in 1968. It produces a wide range of electronic devices and computer components, including microprocessors.
