MOSCOW, October 21. The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry will meet in Vienna on 23 October and will discuss the situation in Syria and the middle East. This was reported in the Russian foreign Ministry on the results of telephone conversation of Lavrov and Kerry that took place on the initiative of the American side.
“In the center of attention was the situation in Syria in the context of preparations for the meeting between Lavrov and Kerry on 23 October in Vienna, where they will be joined by the foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia and Turkey,” – said in depodesta.
Sergey Lavrov, informed the foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation, “proposed to organize in the same day Ministerial meeting of the Quartet of international mediators for middle East settlement (Russia – USA – EU – UN) given the extremely tense situation in Palestinian-Israeli relations, especially around the Holy places in Jerusalem.”
