Putin: crisis in Syria can be achieved with the participation of all political forces

MOSCOW, October 21. Russia is ready to contribute not only to the fight against terror in Syria, but also in the political settlement in contact with other powers and with the participation of all political forces, ethnic and religious groups. This was stated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at a meeting Tuesday night with President of Syria Bashar Assad.

“As for the settlement in Syria itself, we believe that on the basis of positive momentum in the fighting, in the end, still a long-term settlement can be reached through a political process with the participation of all political forces, ethnic and religious groups,” said the Russian leader, whose words are cited on the Kremlin website. The Russian President noted that Syria is a friendly country to Russia. “We are ready to make a contribution not only during the fighting against terrorism, but also in the political process. Putin also said that Russia is concerned about the participation of immigrants from the CIS in battles against Syrian government forces.
