ROCIT: more than half of the users voted for paid audio and video content


MOSCOW, October 21. More than half of the users who voted in the project “the Voice of Runet”, supported the development of the paid model of content consumption. This was announced by the Chairman of the Board of Regional public center of Internet technologies (ROCIT), the Chairman of the Duma Committee on Informatica Leonid Levin in anticipation of the 2015 RIW.

“More than half of respondents (52%) supported the development of the paid model of content consumption (video, audio, images), but only 28% of users agreed that reducing the availability of pirated media products must ensure fair competition and the development of domestic producers and services,” said Levin. Citizens rightly demand that the state and assert their rights to receive quality services, including online, he said.

At the site of the project “the Voice of Runet” passed public discussion of the presidential program of development of the Internet, prepared by the Institute of development Internet (IRI) on behalf of the President.
ROCIT plans to form a community of users, which along with the experts will be listened to in the development of laws, if you block or create any resources, said Levin.
