Shuvalov: law enforcement agencies should pay attention to the situation in “Transaero”


MOSCOW, October 21. Law enforcement agencies should pay attention to the situation in “Transaero”.

This was stated by first Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov in the state Duma.

“What we now see from the documentation that we receive from the company, we have questions about how economically reasonable were the decisions and the rates at which tickets were on sale, especially in recent times. I don’t judge about this, but maybe someone who deals with law enforcement, stands on this issue see”, – said Shuvalov.

“Transaero” will exit the market, the runs will get other carriers, the best part of the aircraft fleet will be transferred to other airlines. People in no way affected,” – said the official.

According to him, the government will do everything possible to ensure the transport of passengers.

“The government works for several months, so the situation gently allow to avoid difficult situations with passengers “Transaero”. It seems to us, now we have succeeded, I am sure that this situation can be solved like it was solved in the government”, – said Shuvalov.

According to the head of Ministry of transport Maxim Sokolov, Aeroflot as Russia’s largest airline may increase the number of those routes, which until then were operated by a company “Transaero”, but not all 100 directions.

The bankruptcy of the company

The decision on bankruptcy “Transaero”, the accumulated 250 billion debt and under the operational management of “Aeroflot” was adopted at the governmental meeting with the participation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on October 1.

The carrier has closed the sale of tickets. Airline tickets (round-trip) for transportation originating before December 15, and ending after 15 December will be cancelled. Air operator certificate “Transaero” will be revoked on October 26.

Previously to the publication RBK reported that the group shareholder of S7 airlines Vladislav Filev has acquired not less than 51% of actions “Transaero” Alexander Pleshakov, who is the largest shareholder of the airline.

The amount of the transaction, the participants did not disclose, however, noted that it “significantly more than one rouble” and satisfy all parties involved.

According to Fileva that the shareholders “Transaero” has a plan of settlement with creditors of the airline. He also noted that new shareholders will try to avoid bankruptcy of the airline.

Meanwhile it is known that the distribution of the 156 areas of international transportations of airline “Transaero” will be implemented in the near future.
