Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad on 20 October visited with working visit Moscow


MOSCOW, October 21. The presidents of Russia and Syria Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday night held lengthy talks in Moscow. About it has informed journalists a press-Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

“Yesterday evening a working visit to Moscow was visited by the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad,” – said the representative of the Kremlin. According to him, held talks with the Syrian leader President of the Russian Federation in the narrow and expanded format with the participation of representatives of top management of Russia.

“The negotiations were quite long, the subject of the negotiations is quite clear,” – said Peskov.

Assad informed Putin about the situation in Syria and plans of the government troops.

“The President (Vladimir Putin) was informed in detail Syrian counterpart (the Syrian President Bashar Assad) about the situation in Syria, about future plans,” – said the press-Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

Blows to positions of terrorists

Russian aircraft began to fight against militants of the “Islamic state” (organization banned in Russia – approx.) in Syria September 30, after treatment of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

In aviagruppa included more than 50 aircraft and helicopters, including su-34 and su-24M, su-25, su-30CM, Mi-8 and Mi-24.

The operation also involved the Navy of the Russian Federation. On the night of 7 October, the ships of the Caspian flotilla of the Caspian sea caused by the objects of the IG in Syria massive strike with cruise missiles of sea basing “the Caliber of NC”.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly stressed that the possibility of a land operation of the Russian armed forces in Syria is completely excluded.
