The Federal air transport Agency was not aware of the acquisition of Transaero, S7 airlines

Moscow. October 21. The Federal air transport Agency has not received any official information about the acquisition of Transaero airline S7, said the head of the Agency Alexander Neradko at a press conference on Tuesday.

“There is no information about the ongoing negotiations regarding the acquisition of Transaero another carrier, S7, as well as the results of this deal,” he said, commenting on Monday night with information about a possible deal.

Transaero has gained about 250 billion rubles of debt and excess fleet in September was in the verge of bankruptcy, forcing the state to look for options to save her.

It was assumed that 75% plus 1 share of the company will be sold to Aeroflot for 1 ruble, but shareholders “Transaero” were not able to consolidate the required stake. As a result “Aeroflot” has refused the offer, and statements of relevant officials boil down to the fact that the option of bankruptcy of the airline seems to be the only one possible.

However, on Tuesday evening it became known about sale by Pleshakov Alexander controlling stake in Transaero airlines to co-owner of S7 airlines Vladislav Fileva.

After that Minister of transport Maxim Sokolov said that the certificate of the operator “Transaero” will be cancelled from October 26.
