MOSCOW, October 22. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday will take part in the final plenary session of XII annual meeting of the International discussion club “Valdai”, which takes place in Sochi. At the session the head of state will present their position on the world markets, declared the press-Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
“The theme this year is “War and peace” – can be very useful, given what is happening in world Affairs”, – he stressed. “Of course, you can with great interest the speech of the President, we can safely assume that, of course, the President is somehow going to Express again my point of view on the world situation,” Peskov said.
He added that Putin on Thursday to see the new car Lada Vesta. “Really, it’ll show the Lada, because (the head of “AVTOVAZ”), Bo Andersson participates in discussions on “Valdai”, and as a participant in the discussion, he wished the President to show this new model Lada, – said the press Secretary of the President. “We do not exclude that it can happen,” – said the representative of the Kremlin.
The participants of the meeting for three days in separate sessions looking at different aspects of the perception of peace and war in public consciousness and in the sphere of international relations, religion and economic interaction between States. The work of this Great Valdai divided into sessions: economic, diplomatic, military and political. A separate session on the role of the media in shaping perceptions of global confrontation.
Another session devoted to the most topical theme of the world today – the situation in the middle East.
The meeting is attended by over 130 experts and political scientists from 30 countries. The 12th meeting of the participants of the Great Valdai opened in Sochi on 19 October. Putin has already attended previous meetings, including meeting 2014, which took place in Sochi and was dedicated to the new rules of world order. As in 2013, then President a few hours answered questions of the participants.
Club “Valdai” was created in September 2004. Its name he received at the venue of the first conference in Veliky Novgorod, near lake Valdai. The club unites leading foreign political scientists and experts, specialized on research in the field of the Russian economy and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The club meetings are held annually in different regions of Russia. During the 11 years existence of the club was attended by over 900 representatives of the international scientific community from 62 countries.
