MOSCOW, October 22. The Board of Directors of “Transaero” in absentia may decide on the appointment to the post of Director of the company Valery Zaitsev is Dmitry Saprykin.
This was reported by a source close to the Board of Directors “Transaero”.
“Today will be a Board of Directors in the correspondence form on which can be decided on the appointment of the General Director “Transaero airlines” Deputy flight Director of the airline Valeriy Zaitsev. Thus Dmitry Saprykin, appointed CEO after “Transaero” came under the operational control of “Aeroflot”, will be dismissed”, – said the Agency interlocutor.
As previously reported, the company “Aeroflot” has taken on obligations and expenditures to maintain the operating activities of “Transaero” in the beginning of September 2015. During this time there were transported about 1.8 million passengers. Operations are conducted as private flights on other airlines. The company “Aeroflot” will continue to transport passengers “Transaero” till December 15, will also provide a refund for paid tickets with the departure date after December 15.
The bankruptcy of the company
The decision on bankruptcy “Transaero”, the accumulated 250 billion debt and under the operational management of “Aeroflot” was adopted at the governmental meeting with the participation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on October 1.
The carrier has closed the sale of tickets. Airline tickets (round-trip) for transportation originating before December 15, and ending after 15 December will be cancelled. Air operator certificate “Transaero” will be revoked on October 26.
Previously to the publication RBK reported that the group shareholder of S7 airlines Vladislav Filev has acquired not less than 51% of actions “Transaero” Alexander Pleshakov, who is the largest shareholder of the airline. The amount of the transaction, the participants did not disclose, however, noted that it “significantly more than one rouble” and satisfy all parties involved.
According to Fileva, from shareholders “Transaero” has a plan of settlement with creditors of the airline. He also noted that new shareholders will try to avoid bankruptcy of the airline.
