Media: Transaero Airlines owed the Pension Fund of Russia, almost 900 million roubles


MOSCOW, October 23. The airline “Transaero” owed to the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) insurance contributions for employees amounting to more than 878 million rubles, the newspaper “Izvestia”. The execution of forced debt collection was launched October 12, 2015.

“The airline’s debt began to accumulate from mid-year, “Transaero” had paid the premiums on time. Only now I approach the time required to withdraw funds from the accounts of the airline. We know which banks are in their accounts, these banks transferred to the collection order, and we expect the transfer of money, if any in the accounts,” – said the official representative of the FIU.

“We are very pleased that the company has not recognized a bankrupt, because in this case we have the opportunity to recover the arrears of these contributions to form the pension rights of employees “Transaero”, – he said.

In the case of bankruptcy “Transaero”, as explained by the representative of the FIU, the Foundation “will try to collect all the required facilities according to the official procedure when hiring a bankruptcy Trustee”.

The decision on bankruptcy “Transaero”, the accumulated 250 billion rubles of debt under the operational control of “Aeroflot” was adopted at the governmental meeting with the participation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on October 1.

On 20 October it became known that General Director of S7 airlines Vladislav Filev has acquired not less than 51% of actions “Transaero” Alexander Pleshakov, who is the largest shareholder of the airline. The next day, the head of Rosaviatsiya Alexander Neradko said that the certificate of the operator Transaero cancelled from 26 October due to the deterioration of its financial condition that affect aviation safety. The cancelled certificate, in accordance with the rules, will not be restored.
