Russian Ambassador: Tehran is studying the proposal of Moscow to create joint Bank


Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of energy Alexander Novak reported that Russia and Iran are discussing the establishment of a joint Russian-Iranian Bank, which will Finance specific investment projects. While the Iranian side has not responded to this offer.

YEREVAN, 23 Oct. Iran is studying Russia’s proposal to establish a joint Bank to Finance joint projects, said Russian Ambassador to Iran Levan dzhagaryan.

“We offered the Iranians to think about it. While this discussion is of a purely preliminary nature, there is no “road map” on this issue. This is a tough question as we talk about the feasibility of establishing such a Bank in order to create comfortable conditions for co-financing of some mutual projects,” he said.

According to him, while the Iranian side has not responded to this offer.

“While they (Iran) are working on the reception. The Iranians need time to carefully study these Russian proposals, they require in-depth study,” he said.
