The operator of the Kerch ferry: the flow of goods since the beginning of the siege of Crimea Ukraine increased by 40%

The flow of goods to the Crimea through the Kerch ferry increased by 40% after the Declaration of Ukrainian activists of the so-called food blockades of the Peninsula. This was announced by the Director of the company “Marine management”, supervising the work of crossing, Gennady Dedkov.

“The fact that Crimea will be blocked from the Ukraine, had been circulated in advance. The increase of traffic we experienced during the time when the blockade had just begun. In this case, the increase was about 15%, said Dedkov journalists. – In late September and early October increasing the flow of trucks has reached 40%”.

The head of “Maritime Directorate” at the same time noted that the Kerch ferry ready at least a twofold increase in the flow of goods to the Crimea.

“The tourist season is over and tourists became much less. Therefore, to solve the problems of transport of lorries we have no problems. If we talk about the potential increase in flow even in twice, we can handle it quite easily,” added Dedkov.

Supporters of former Vice-Premier of Crimea Lenur Islyamov, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev and Refat Chubarov have limited the pass of trucks with goods through checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Russian border on September 20. They also joined members of the extremist group “Right sector” prohibited in Russia.
