Vice-Premier of the Crimea: the Tatars are asking local authorities to ban the Mejlis


SIMFEROPOL, October 23. Crimean authorities get a get a complaint from the Crimean Tatars on unregistered under the laws of the Russian Federation of the Majlis, said in an interview with the Vice-Premier of RT government Ruslan Balbec.

“There are a lot of complaints come from the Crimean Tatars, from public organizations. Crimean Tatars ask to ban this organization on the territory of the Russian Federation,” he said, stressing that the Majlis has no influence on the Crimean Tatars.

The Balbec did not rule out that the Parliament may be prohibited. “We say today that in the legal field, taking into account the activity of the Crimean Tatars themselves and their civic institutions, religious organizations, a possible ban,” he said.

The Vice Premier reminded that now the activists under the leadership of Mustafa Dzhemilev and Refat Chubarov together with banned in Russia “Right sector” carried out a campaign of so-called blockade of the Crimea – a Ukrainian cargo goods are not allowed on the territory of Russia. “In so doing, they, in fact, became more open, the masks are thrown off,” said Balbec.

Chubarov and Dzhemilev court decision prohibited the entry into Russia for five years. Against Chubarova also prosecuted for incitement to violation of territorial integrity of the Russian Federation. They presided over the Majlis is not registered under Russian law.
